Key Stage 3 & 4

SVS will be welcoming pupils into its secondary section, beginning August 2019. Extension of our school campus facilities will include a secondary annex comprising science and Design Technology  laboratories, a library media centre, gymnasium, cafeteria and specialist classrooms.

In Years 7, 8 and 9 the curriculum will be taught by specialist teachers, with pupil pastoral care, well-being and Moral Education the responsibility of the form tutor. All statutory National Curriculum subjects will be offered; in addition, there will be Arabic language, Islamic Studies and Moral Education lessons. In year 9 Science will be taught in separate disciplines (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) will be taught in all three years. In Key Stage 4, pupils will begin courses which lead to GCSEs. Towards the end of their time in Key Stage 4, pupils will be offered a structured transition into Key Stage 5, where they begin their A levels.
